Wisdom Keepers

I found a great story on the AARP site entitled, "The Pressure to Be Wise," and I have to say it was a great read.  Click on the link below and read for a great laugh and insight into the mind of an elder!

This view from a wisdom keeper let me know that I am not alone in thinking that I still don't know much.  We do though and we need to share it.  Take the time to share your stories with others, especially the "younger" generations.  They are interested and if you share the emotions you felt while telling the stories, you create a bond and connection with them.

Every generation needs to learn from those before, in order to keep the best and most important things alive.  We can create a lasting relationship by sharing memories with story.  Don't let the traditions that you value stop now.  Pass them down now and in the future by recording your legacy or publishing it for them.

Your life and values could benefit generations from now.  Photos alone can't do that, so be a wisdom keeper and pass it down with story.  Photos without stories are memories lost.

My Calling

Welcome to my first blog post.  I am new at this but here goes.  I have felt a love for stories my whole life.  I love to read and write.  I also inherited a love of photographs and scrapbooks from my Mother.  These things have lead me to do what I do, which is create legacy books for families to share.
The first legacy book that I created was many years ago when my children were young.  I gave my Mother a postbound, fill in the blank interview type scrapbook, and she filled it out in her spare time.  This book is priceless now because she passed away a few years ago, and my children and I have read passages from this book many times since then and will continue to as the years go by.
I just became a Grandmother in June to a beautiful baby boy named Alex.  He will never meet his Great Grandmother, but because of this book he will know about her.  I am sure he will have some of her traits and tendencies that will be passed on through him.
I have such a love for this business, that I could do it 24 hours a day.  This is my bliss, and it feels good to support others who want to do the same.  There are so many moments of our lives that need to be preserved and this is a perfect way of doing that.
The books I offer now are stitched and professionally bound.  They can include photos and text.  There are many different options available and it only takes about two weeks to get your book in the mail.  Every budget and option is available for this priceless gift of love.  Contact me by email for info and I will respond quickly - legacy.storybooks@gmail.com
I also offer other heirloom gifts for your needs.  Workshops also available in the Tampa bay area.
I look forward to posting pictures of my books for you to see, and other posts about the amazing people I meet and stories I hear.  Everyone has a story to tell.  What's your story?
