Wisdom Keepers

     This view from a wisdom keeper let me know that I am not alone in thinking that I still don't know much.  We do though and we need to share it.  Take the time to share your stories with others, especially the "younger" generations.  They are interested and if you share the emotions you felt while telling the stories, you create a bond and connection with them.

     Every generation needs to learn from those before, in order to keep the best and most important things alive.  We can create a lasting relationship by sharing memories with story.  Don't let the traditions that you value stop now.  Pass them down now and in the future by recording your legacy or publishing it for them.

     Your life and values could benefit generations from now.  Photos alone can't do that, so be a wisdom keeper and pass it down with story.  Photos without stories are memories lost.

Independence Day

  
  This upcoming Independence Day holiday weekend, I will be enjoying my freedom, that has been earned by myself, and others in the past, present, and into the future.  I am once again excited to go camping and buggy riding in the trails of Ocala Forest.  More important than the adventure itself, is spending time with family and friends.  This makes it more memorable and precious.

     I have been doing lots of things this past year, that have kept me really busy, but have not really fed my soul or my family.  I have been trying to find a new place for myself in the workplace.  It has been less than fun, and now I am fully committed to enjoying my independence by helping others as I love to do.  Having independence means doing what you enjoy, right?

     People here in America have the freedom to make certain choices about things that are important to them.  Passing along your values to the next generation, and the next for that matter, are more important now than ever.  We have lost contact with our "villages", and the time spent with other generations.  The wisdom that comes from this exposure needs to be kept alive.

     I am very passionate about being a part of this important mission, and it is something I believe every family should participate in.  These times in history will be long forgotten if we don't take the time now to preserve them.

     I would love to interview you or a loved one and help you continue your legacy.  I could also show you how to do it yourself, if you prefer.  It doesn't matter how you do it, as long as it gets done.  Most of us don't take the time to actually do it.  Don't let the wisdom of a loved one slip away.  Preserve your family's stories, in a book, audio recordings, and/or video.
